  • ...Some light snow accumulations possible today mainly over higher elevation areas... Colder air moving in behind a low pressure system will keep snow showers around across higher elevation areas through much of today. Rain showers may mix with or change to snow showers in the lower elevations as well Around an inch or less of snow accumulation will be possible mainly across higher elevation areas of the Cumberland Plateau and southwest Virginia...with locally higher amounts possible over the highest elevations. Little or no snow accumulation is expected for most valley areas. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio and local media outlets for further details or updates.
