Tropical Storm Philippe formed on Saturday afternoon, and it is racing northeast. This has already prompted a tornado warning near West Palm Beach.
Our sister station, WPEC, has been on top of it since the beginning.
For us, this storm has little-to-no impact. This will, however, dump some heavy rain on parts of South Florida that were hit by Irma in September. It will also move north off the coast of New England by Monday, and deliver some more heavy rain to parts of the northeast.
The cold front that gives us a serious punch of cold air will steer Philippe out to sea afterwards.
