Kaitlin Penfold

Meteorologist Kaitlin Penfold is the newest member of the StormTrack 5 Weather team.

Kaitlin grew up in Michigan, and has always had a love for nature and weather.

She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Meteorology. While in school, she was the weather anchor for MHTV News Central 34. Kaitlin also spent time as an weather department intern at WJBK in Detroit where she worked closely with the Chief Meteorologist.

Kaitlin is excited about being on the News 5 team and she loves the natural beauty of our region.

When not working, she likes to run, hike and swim. Kaitlin also loves animals and watching storms.

David grew up in Knoxville and has always had a love for weather.

Chris Michaels is the weekend morning meteorologist at News 5 WCYB. Chris comes to us from North Carolina State University, where he got his degree in Meteorology.

Olivia graduated Cum Laude from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a degree in journalism and a minor in English.
