Angela is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.

While in college, Angela interned with TV stations in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. After college she began her career as a production assistant with WKYC-TV in Cleveland, and then moved to WVVA-TV and CW10 in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Angela joined the News 5 team in March 2008.

She began anchoring weekend newscasts in October 2011.
