Jim Conrad grew up in the mountains of southwest Virginia and loves to tell the region’s stories.

A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Conrad joined the News 5 staff in 1986 as a videographer.

He also produced newscasts before taking over the Region Focus segments in 2004.
