A great opportunity in a powerhouse news operation! News 5 WCYB-TV TriCities, TN-VA, seeks a creative and driven newscast producer.

Qualified candidates will have previous TV news producing experience. The candidate must be a good writer, able to craft creative, factual and compelling stories and newscasts. You must be able to write effective teases, possess very good news judgment, be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

You should have web posting skills, understand the importance of social media and be willing to learn.

This person must also be able to copy edit and proof reporter scripts, produce specials as needed, work with weather, sports and other departments to produce high quality content in and outside newscasts.
