NASCAR is expected to announce its 2015 schedule soon. Bristol Motor Speedway officials would not confirm a report Monday night that the Food City 500 has been moved from March to April 19, 2015.

BMS officials have been seeking a date change for some time, with hopes that a later date would lead to better weather conditions and increased attendance.

NASCAR reporter Jim Noble reported several date changes to the 2015 NASCAR schedule Monday night, including the Food City 500 being moved to Sunday April 19.

When asked about the report, Lynsey Wilson from the BMS communications department released this statement:

"Conversations are ongoing and once details are finalized, we will release our 2015 plans."

Wilson said there are currently no press conferences scheduled this week involving BMS officials.
