Amanda Hollandsworth scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Floyd County beat Central-Wise 72-62 to win its fourth VHSL girls basketball championship at VCU's Siegel Center.
Christene Phillips added 19 points for Floyd (28-2), which also won state titles in 1993, 1994 and 2008.
Floyd County outscored Central 19-4 in the second quarter. The Buffaloes outscored the Warriors 12-0 during a period when Central point guard Logan Reynolds left the court briefly with an injury.
Hayley Wyrick led Central (28-2) with 22 points, but also had 13 of the Warriors' 26 turnovers. Reynolds and center Laura Gipe added 13 for Central, a two-year-old consolidated school in Wise County.
