Now that it finally has shown it can win close games, Tennessee wants to prove it also can win on the road.
Tennessee gained some momentum by recording consecutive one-point victories home victories over Alabama and Vanderbilt, but the Volunteers realize the key to a late-season surge is to start winning away from Thompson-Boling Arena.
The Vols (11-8, 3-4 SEC) haven't won on an opponent's home floor all season. They will try again Saturday at Arkansas (12-8, 3-4), where they'll face another team that plays much better at home.
Arkansas is 12-1 at home, 0-5 in true road games and 0-2 at neutral sites this season. Tennessee is 9-2 at home, 2-1 at neutral sites and 0-5 in true road games.
