Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, according to multiple reports Tuesday.
Rice was injured in the second quarter of Seattle's 14-9 win over the St. Louis Rams on Monday night. On a first-and-goal play from the St. Louis 9-yard line, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tried to hit Rice in the end zone. After the play, Rice was slow to get up. He was taken to the locker room and at the time of the injury, Seattle said he was doubtful to return.
Through the first eight weeks of the season, Rice has been the Seahawks' third-leading receiver with 231 yards.
The Seahawks are expecting to get wide receiver Percy Harvin back this week. Harvin has not played this season after undergoing hip surgery. Harvin returned to practice last week.
Seattle (7-1) has the NFC's best record, and hosts the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-7) on Sunday.
