Celtics 94, Warriors 86: Paul Pierce scored 26 points and Boston's defense cooled off Stephen Curry in handing Golden State its third straight loss.Jeff Green added 18 points and Kevin Garnett had 13 rebounds for the Celtics, who have won two straight and three of their last four. Boston has won eight straight at home.Curry, who went off for an NBA season-high 54 points and a franchise record 11 3-pointers on Wednesday at New York, scored 25 points against the Celtics but connected on only 6 of 22 shots, including 3 of 11 from beyond the arc. David Lee returned from a one-game suspension to collect 10 points and 19 rebounds and Harrison Barnes scored 16 as the Warriors lost for the eighth time in their last nine road games.Boston used an 18-7 run to close the first quarter and take a 31-20 lead. Golden State pulled to within 39-38 with 3:31 left in the half but never managed to take the lead and settled for a 50-46 gap at the break.The Warriors scored the first six points of the third to jump on top but Pierce hit a 3-pointer to get the Celtics back on track. Green had back-to-back baskets in a 9-2 run ending the quarter to give Boston a seven-point edge heading into the final frame.Green and newcomer Jordan Crawford combined on a 6-0 run early in the fourth quarter to push it to double figures, and Green's free throws with 1:31 left helped put the game away.GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State's backcourt trio of Curry, Klay Thompson and Jarrett Jack combined to shoot 28 percent from the floor.
