Jimmy Howard allowed three goals on 25 shots before suffering a knee injury in the second period. Petr Mrazek came in and made 13 saves.Paajarvi opened the scoring at 11:13 of the first period, as the puck slid off his stick during a wraparound attempt, then glanced off a fallen Howard and into the net. Detroit drew even in the final minute of the session, as Nyquist gathered a loose puck in the low slot before waiting out Halak and beating him with a low wrist shot.The Blues struck twice early in the second, jumping ahead on Jackman's third goal of the season at 1:01 and making it 3-1 just 1:20 later on Shattenkirk's shot from the point that eluded Howard on the blocker side.
