Oklahoma State took the first step to staying in the race for the Big 12 lead with Saturday's victory at West Virginia. Now the 18th-ranked Cowboys look to continue rebounding from last week's double-overtime loss to Kansas when they travel to TCU on Wednesday. While the Horned Frogs do have a victory over the Jayhawks this season, that upset is their only conference triumph.Oklahoma State sits one game behind Kansas and Kansas State in the conference standings, and will host the Wildcats in the regular-season finale March 9. Junior Markel Brown ranks third in the Big 12 at 15.9 points per game, supported by freshman Marcus Smart (fifth at 15 points) and sophomore Le'Bryan Nash (11th at 13.2). The Cowboys were sluggish in the early going Saturday, but shot 52 percent in the second half to pull away for a 73-57 victory. Oklahoma State averages 72.7 points scored and 61.6 points allowed, fourth in the Big 12 in both categories.ABOUT TCU (10-17, 1-13): The Horned Frogs are one of the nation's most challenged offensive teams, ranking 345th in scoring (53.9) and 308th in field-goal percentage (40.1). Sophomore Kyan Anderson leads TCU at 11.2 points per game. The Horned Frogs have stayed close to several opponents thanks to a defense that is third in the Big 12 in points allowed (61.1). In a rematch with Kansas on Saturday, the Horned Frogs scored nine points in the first half and were blown out 74-48.TIP-INS1.
