Offense anemic in Hokies' spring game
Virginia Tech's new look offense looked a lot like the old one in the Hokies' annual spring game.
Logan Thomas threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, and the White team beat the Orange team 27-9 Saturday.
The White team was made up mostly of reserves, but had the distinct upper hand against new coordinator Scot Loeffler's offense, which is only partially installed. Der'Woun Greene intercepted Thomas to end the Orange's first offensive series and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown.
Donovan Riley picked him off to end the Orange's next series and returned it 53 yards for another score.
Spotted 13 points before the kickoff, the White team led 27-0 after 13 minutes.
Mark Leal led a 66-yard drive for the only Orange TD.
