Keith McDougald tallied 23 points to help Jacksonville rally, then hold off East Tennessee State 83-80 Thursday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference game.
Dylan Fritsch scored 17 points and Javon Dawson 16 for Jacksonville, winners of four straight games. Fritsch and Dawson helped Jacksonville build a 40-24 edge in bench points.
Jacksonville (11-10, 6-2), which shot 53.7 percent (29 of 54), trailed 39-28 with 3:13 left in the first half but used a 19-7 run to take its first lead of the game, 47-46. The Dolphins' run spanned both halves and ended when Fritsch's layup gave them a 65-52 advantage with 11:46 left to play.
Hunter Harris' free throws tied the game at 78-all with 1:07 remaining, but ETSU (5-15, 2-5) converted just one field goal the rest of the way. Jacksonville hit a jumper and three free throws down the stretch.
Lester Wilson had 19 for ETSU.
