Deonte Alexander had 19 points, Stephen Hurt scored 17 and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds and Lipsomb defeated East Tennessee State 60-56 on Saturday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference game.
 
Khion Sankey contributed eight points and nine rebounds for the Bisons (6-8, 1-2), who halted a two-game losing streak.
 
Lester Wilson scored 16 points, Kinard Gadsden-Gilliard contributed 13 points and seven rebounds and Jarvis Jones had 11 points for the Buccaneers (2-12, 0-1), who have lost nine games in a row.
 
Lipscomb made 18 of 25 from the free-throw line - East Tennessee State was 6 of 15 - and outrebounded the Buccaneers 39-28.
 
Lipscomb held a 28-19 lead at the half, but Gadsden-Gilliard tied it at 37 with 11:18 left. ETSU's Rashawn Rembert made a 3-pointer to pull within 52-49 with 1:42 to go, but the Bisons made the key free throws down the stretch.
