Marian Hossa took to the ice with the rest of the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. He was still there at the end, skating fine, taking part in drills, per usual. It was a bit of a surprise, not just because he took a hit to the back of his head on Tuesday night, but also because it was the second head hit he’s taken in 10 months. But the right wing said he feels fine, has gone through some protocol already and will go through a little more soon. And if all goes well, he wants to play tomorrow night. Hossa said he felt some immediate effects from the hit to his head delivered by Vancouver forward Jannik Hansen. He was aware of what happened, however, and said he didn’t suffer a concussion. But after having Wednesday off, Hossa said he’s feeling better. “Right after, I was shaky. That’s why I didn’t return. I had the day off, so it’s settled down and this morning I felt much better,” Hossa said. “He hit me pretty hard in the back of the head. More than anything, he just surprised me with the punch from behind. I didn’t feel like myself for the first half hour after the hit.”
