Former Notre Dame defensive end Aaron Lynch received an unexpectedly quick response from the NCAA regarding his hardship waiver to play for the University of South Florida this weekend. It just wasn’t the answer the freshman All-American was hoping for. Lynch, thus, will sit out this season to satisfy NCAA transfer requirements and will restart his playing career in 2013, with three years of eligibility remaining. USF coach Skip Holtz made the announcement Thursday on his Twitter account.
