Lester Wilson scored 21 points and East Tennessee State rallied from a 19-point, second-half deficit to beat Florida Gulf Coast 85-75 Saturday in Atlantic Sun Conference action.
The Buccaneers (4-13, 2-2), who have won two of their past three contests following a nine-game skid, trailed 55-36 with 16:52 remaining. Their subsequent 39-13 run rivaled Duke's 30-0 spurt in an 88-67 win over the Eagles on Nov. 18.
Mario Stramaglia hit two free throws with 3:56 left to cap the burst, giving East Tennessee State a 75-68 lead.
Florida Gulf Coast got to 77-75 with 44 seconds left, but the Buccaneers hit 8 of 8 free throws, denying the Eagles their first four-game A-Sun winning streak.
Sherwood Brown's 17 points and 11 boards paced Florida Gulf Coast (12-7, 4-2), which set season highs for first-half points - the Eagles led 45-32 at the break - and made 3-pointers (14 of 33).
