The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned goaltender Jason LaBarbera to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League on Saturday.
LaBarbera, 33, is 1-3-0 with a 3.28 goals-against average and a .870 save percentage in seven games this season with the Edmonton Oilers. He is also 0-1-1 with a 1.93 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage in two games with the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL.
LaBarbera was acquired from Edmonton in exchange for future considerations on Dec. 14. He was originally selected by the New York Rangers in the third round of the 1998 NHL draft.
