The Republican sweep in Virginia is about to become official.
The state board of elections meets this afternoon to certify results of the November 3rd election.
All three statewide GOP candidates won, so the process will lack the drama of 2005, when the election for Attorney General was the closest in modern Virginia history.
There may however be a recount in Virginia Beach, where the Republican only holds an unofficial 14 vote edge over the incumbent Democrat in the House of Delegates.
