President Obama Vows To Help South Korea End North's Nuclear Program

ttaylor@wcyb.com

President Obama was honored with a welcoming ceremony today in South Korea.

Obama joined South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak at the Blue House--the South Korean version of the White House.

The two leaders then met briefly before they delivered statements at a news conference.

President Lee said South Korea and the United States offered North Korea "a grand bargain" aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear program.

The proposal is reported to be a package of political and economic incentives in exchange for the one-step, irreversible dismantling of the North's nuclear program.
