FDA Warns Of H1-N1 Scams On The Internet

The FDA is warning consumers to beware of internet scams involving the H1-N1 flu.  Some companies are using the pandemic to make money by marketing bogus products that don't work.

For example, air sterilizers that claim to kill the H1-N1 virus or supplement pills that are supposed to prevent you from getting the flu.  Experts say those products are all scams aimed at getting your money.

But the most troublesome scam deals with Tamiflu, one of the only treatments for the virus.

Health leaders say the problem occurs when it's bought over the internet.

Health leaders say you can only get Tamiflu by prescription.
