Residents in Big Stone Gap, Virginia will soon have better and more reliable water.
The town has been working to replace older water lines in the system, some of which are several decades old.
The project should result in lower water bills.
Determining which pipes needed to be worked on first was the greatest challenge. "[We had to] evaluate our system and say here's where the worst part of our system is and where we need to make improvements," said Big Stone Gap Town Manager, Pat Murphy.
Everything should be finished by April of next year.
