Virginia Transportation Revenue Shortage

A $600 million reduction in available revenue over the next six years is now forcing the Virginia Transportation Board to scale back projects.

For the second time in a row, the board is having to re-think its six year improvement plan because of revised revenue estimates.

The latest figures show the board will have about $900 million less than expected.

Lists of specific projects and changes will be provided next month.
