Chip Plant Celebrates Milestone

A Bristol snack foods company, once on the verge of closing, is celebrating a milestone.

"Snack Alliance" employees took part in a 5-year anniversary party on Friday.

The company opened in 2004, after a previous company shut down production.

Snack Alliance employs more than 200 people and they create a variety of snack foods, including "Terry's Chips."

The company says they plan on adding another production line in the next few months, which can create even more jobs.

This year, the plant in Bristol, Virginia will produce about 27 million pounds of snack foods.
