Homeless Shelter Turns to Community for Help

It was a cold January night last year when the group People Incorporated found about 75 homeless people living on the streets in Bristol.  That led them to create a place for the homeless to stay.

The Kings Mountain Supportive Housing Center has been open for 15 months.  Twelve men are living there, working to stabilize their lives.  People Incorporated wants to make sure this housing program stays around, so they're asking for help from the community.

"The concept we're working with right now is outreach in the community and talking with [people] about potentially sponsoring a room for us," said Bryan Phipps with People Incorporated.

If you're interested in donating to the Kings Mountain Supportive Housing Center, contact People Incorporated at (276) 648-4808.
