King College Says Medical School On Track

After getting a big chunk of money earlier this week, leaders at King College in Bristol, TN say plans for the proposed medical school are progressing.

King College president Dr. Greg Jordan says the medical school will transform the region with more jobs and will be a boost to the economy.  The school is slated to be built in Virginia but King officials won't be more specific yet.

"We've said recently that it will be in close proximity to Bristol Regional Medical Center and that gives us a lot of potential locations," said Dr. Jordan.

King college says building a medical school in Virginia will help strengthen the relationships they already have with other colleges and leaders in the Commonwealth.
