"D.C. Sniper" Files Appeal To Death Sentence With U.S. Supreme Court

With a week until his scheduled execution, attorneys for the mastermind of the D.C. sniper attacks of 2002 plan to file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court today.

John Muhammad is on death row in Virginia with execution set for November 10th. Lawyers claim their client is 'severely mentally ill.'

Muhammad was sentenced to death for the killing of a Virginia man-- one of ten people killed over three weeks in 2002.
