Oxycodone Ring Indicted By Federal Grand Jury

ttaylor@wcyb.com

Federal authorities in Knoxville say they have stopped a significant oxycodone ring. 14 people were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges for selling oxycodone, ecstacy, marijuana and several conspiracy charges.

Five of those people were from Florida, five from Knoxville, Tennessee, two from Boone, North Carolina and one from Maryville, Tennessee. Authorities say oxycodone is the most abused drug on the street in this region.

All 14 will go to trial December 30th.
