Federal Stimulus Money Being Put To Work In Virginia.

Federal stimulus funds are being put to work in Virginia.

Officials say the funding has helped state agencies create or keep nearly 6 thousand jobs.

More than 5 billion dollars has been awarded to Virginia.

It has allowed the state to begin construction on infrastructure projects and keep the state's Medicaid plan funded.

The governor says the funds also helped improve and build schools, and expand unemployment benefits.
