Washington County, Virginia Gets Federal Loans To Improve Water Service

Washington County, Virginia Service Authority is getting two low-interest federal loans totaling $36 million to improve the county's water service.

The improvements will include expanding the water treatment plant on the Middle Fork of the Holston River and replacing numerous water lines.

Ninth District Congressman Rick Boucher secured the loans and says his district has received more than $100 million to construct new and improve existing water and waste-water systems.
