World's tallest man gets married
Sultan Kosen towers more than 2 feet over his new bride
The world's tallest man has gotten married, towering more than 2 feet over his new bride.
Sultan Kosen, 30, who stands at a massive 8 feet, 3 inches tall, said while he couldn't find a woman close to his height, he was thrilled to have met 20-year-old Merve Dibo.
At just 5 feet, 7 inches tall, Dibo barely reaches Kosen's waist.
The couple wed on Saturday in Kosen's native Turkey.
"I am the happiest man in the world," Kosen was quoted as saying on the website of the state-run Anatolia news agency.
The part-time farmer had to order a custom suit and size 28 shoes for the event.
He is one of only 10 people known to have ever topped 8 feet, according to the New York Daily News.
The tallest man ever was Illinois resident Robert Wadlow, who died in 1940 at 8 feet, 11 inches tall.
