LEE COUNTY, Va. -

A deadly Southwest Virginia crash, which closed a road for more than three hours Monday, is now under investigation by Virginia State Police.

State police say it happened just after 4:15 Monday afternoon, on Route 621/ Cave Springs Road, in Lee County.

News 5 has learned, a car driving east on Route 621 ran off the right side of the road as it entered a curve, overturned, and hit a tree.  The driver of the car, 20-year-old Mary Cole Sayers, died at the scene, according to authorities.

The crash closed down the road as crews cleaned up the crash.  The road was reopened around 7:30 Monday night.
