Now that the primary elections are over, campaign signs for some of the candidates are not needed any longer for the election season, and folks are out picking them up as quickly as possible.
In Greene County, Tennessee the Sheriff's Department has a program where they will try to get as many of them as possible as a community service.
Steve Burns the Greene County Sheriff says, "We bring them back to this dot as you see here and sort them out and make them available back to the proper owner."
Some signs are just donated by their owners to the department so they can be used for things like target practice at the firing range.
The Sheriff also says if they collected a sign they shouldn't have, just call the Sheriff's Department to get it back to you as soon as possible.
