BLUFF CITY, Tenn. -

For lots of children, dealing with the loss of a loved one is an emotional experience.  Wellmont Hospice understands how death can impact a child's life and designed "Camp Caterpillar"to help children better understand this change.

This year's camp was held at Stickley Farms in Bluff City.

Children who attended the camp played games, and made crafts to help them cope with losing their loved one.

"We want to help people who are dealing with death and dying. We cant stop because the person died, there is still work to do," said Clinical Leader of Wellmont Hospice Jackie Everett.

The camp accepts volunteers throughout the year . Click here to apply to become a volunteer.
