MARION, Va. - "All area farmers, crafters, backyard growers -WE WANT YOU!" That's the message from the Marion Farmers Market.
The Town of Marion and Marion Downtown are now accepting applications for the upcoming Market Season, which kicks off Mother's Day weekend.
"We're excited to finally get through this winter and head toward warmer weather and fresh, garden-grown goodies," said Ken Heath, market organizer. "And, for everyone interested in learning how they can sell and participate, we're buying lunch."
The Organizational meeting is set for Thursday, March 28 at 12 noon at the Marion Town Hall. Heath will provide a brief presentation on the market, have applications available for spaces, and listen to suggestions from the audience on how to improve and grow the market.
"Each year, we try to learn how we can better serve our community," said Heath. "We're using suggestions from last year, and hoping for some great ideas to bring in vendors and customers, and make our farmers market an exciting and productive part of our downtown."
To learn more about the Marion Regional Farmers Market, and to reserve your space, please contact Ken Heath at (276) 783-4190 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants are urged to reserve their space by Wednesday, March 27 if possible, and to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Vendor packets are also available by email or standard mail, if requested
