Four local residents will soon be troopers in areas across the Commonwealth.
They are part of a class of 30 in the latest Virginia State Police trooper class.
The new troopers will report to their individual duty assignments next Tuesday.
Billy Kendall Brown of Clintwood will serve the Prince George area.
Nathaniel Cole Chester from Jonesville will head to Greensville.
Marion native Dustin Lee Hayden-Gross will serve in Dickenson County.
Honaker native Jordon Ryan Sluss will be serving in Tazewell County.
Virginia State Police is still accepting applications for its accelerated lateral entry program which begins in April 2018.
