Virginia State Trooper facing invasion of privacy charges
A Virginia State Police trooper faces invasion of privacy charges stemming from misuse of a police database.
Media outlets report that a Virginia Beach grand jury indicted 31-year-old Crystal Gail Ramsey on one felony count and eight misdemeanor counts of computer invasion of privacy.
State police say Ramsey has been put on unpaid leave.
She's accused of obtaining acquaintances' information from the Virginia Criminal Information Network and then selling or distributing it.
Ramsey remains free on $10,000 bond. She has been a trooper since 2004.
