Virginia State Police promoting 'move over law'
Virginia State Police are joining with Nationwide insurance to help protect those who drive tow trucks and road maintenance vehicles.
They're promoting Virginia's Move Over Law which requires drivers to change lanes or cautiously pass emergency workers stopped on the side of the road.
The law also applies to highway crews which have flashing amber lights.
Officials say 138 on-duty law enforcement have been hit and killed on the country's highways since 2003.
