Hunters in Virginia, listen up! You are now allowed to hunt on Sundays, but only on private property.

Virginia Senator Phillip Puckett tells News 5 you must have your hunting license, along with a note from the property owner giving you permission to hunt there.

He says if you don't have the note with you while you are hunting, you could be ticketed.

Puckett says the new law could attract more out-of-state hunters to our area. "Two days gives them an opportunity to come in on Friday evening, have two full days, and go home on Monday," he said.

Senator Puckett tells us the law also says on Sundays that nobody is allowed to hunt within 200 yards of a place of worship.
