We've all heard the saying, "if walls could talk". Well, at the new Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, they can.
Technology is allowing sound designers to make just about anything into a speaker, even the pews in the small church inside are speakers.
The walls of the replicated train station are speakers. It's a totally different sound experience in the museum according to sound designer Steve Haas. "We have activated walls, ceilings, objects such as sculptures, and we're doing something very unique with the church pews. We're turning the entire body of the church pew into a loudspeaker," he siad.
Haas and his company specialize in sound for museums.
In the case of the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, sound is of the upmost importance.
