Two more people are facing charges after officers say they were involved in a murder that started on Facebook.
In January 2012, officers say Marvin Potter got angry after Billy Payne, Jr. and Billie Jean Hayworth deleted his adult daughter, Janelle Potter, from Facebook.
The daughter was allegedly harassing Payne and Hayworth after she was removed as a friend. The couple complained to police that she was bothering them.
They were found shot to death in their Mountain City home with their baby still in the woman's arms in January 2012. Click here to read more.
Since then, Potter and another man, Jamie Lynn Curd have been charged in that double murder.
On August 9, 2013, officers say they charged Potter's daughter and wife, Barbara Potter, with conspiracy to murder.
Assistant DA Dennis Brooks says it took a while to chase down the lead. "That's been a challenge because one party to this was assuming another identity in writing emails. A lot of work went into establishing probable cause on these two women," he explained.
We're told Mr. Potter will be back in court in October and will be tried separately.
Officers say they will try the other three in the same case.
Barbara and Jenelle Potter were extradited to Mountain City on August 12. Their arraignments will be held on October 28. Their bail has been at $500,000 each.
