SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -

It is a sad fact, that many needy children will go without Christmas presents this year.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary hopes to change that by hosting the Toys from Cops event this weekend.

This is the 12th annual event, aimed at making sure the kids of Sullivan County get the Christmas they deserve.

There will be two sessions.  The first one, on Saturday, December 14th, is by invitation only. Eligible children will receive a letter from their school.

On Sunday, December 15th the event will be open to other children, 12 and under, in Sullivan County who are in need this Christmas.

Doors open at 9:00am.

The giveaway will take place in the old Food Country building which is located at 3122 Hwy 126 in Blountville.
