Roadrunner Market robbed Friday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - UPDATE 1:28 p.m.: The Johnson City Police Department released the following information about the robbery:

"On 2-28-2014 at approximately 4:48 A.M., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to 527 Princeton Road, Roadrunner Market, in reference to a robbery.

The victim stated that a white male wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a white and black bandana over his face, entered the store and brandished a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the register and then fled the scene.

Police are investigating a robbery in Johnson City Friday afternoon.

Captain Matt Howell tells us the Roadrunner at Princeton Road and Oakland Avenue was robbed.

We're told no one was injured in the robbery. No arrests have been made yet.
