Man arrested for firing shot in downtown Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - A Georgia man is in in jail tonight after officers say he fired a shot in downtown Johnson City.

Early this morning officers say two men were checking door handles to see if they were unlocked.

Shortly after, police say the two left the Jobe Street parking lot, and a gun was fired from the vehicle.

Officers later stopped the car on West State of Franklin Road and found a gun inside the car.

Officers arrested Dylan Coty Torrance. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless endangerment, and public intoxication
