Low turnout for Johnson City election

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - It's election day in Johnson City and the polls are open for just a few more hours as of Tuesday afternoon.

We're learning not too many people are showing up to cast their ballot.

People weren't exactly lining up to cast their votes at Lake Ridge Elementary School Tuesday. Voters just trickled in at best to choose two city commissioners, four four-year school board members and one two-year school board member.

Polls will be closing at 8:00 p.m. We'll have more information on turnout and the results later tonight online and on News 5 WCYB.
