ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. - A Rogersville, Tennessee woman is facing charges, accused of selling drugs in a local park.
The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office arrested 49-year-old Lisa Marie Whitaker Wednesday during a traffic stop after officers say they watched Whitaker drive through the Rogersville City Park. Officers were there after getting several complaints that she had been selling prescription pills.
Deputies say they pulled her over based on prior knowledge that she had a revoked Tennessee driver's license.
When Whitaker was stopped, deputies say they found suxboxone and what they believe were records of Whitaker's drug sales.
Whitaker is now facing several drug charges. She was arrested jailed on a $20,000 bond. Her arraignment is set for April 25 in Hawkins County General Sessions Court.
