Election info for May Primary

     Voters head to the polls tomorrow in Tennessee and Virginia.

     For some people in Virginia, you may be casting you ballot at a new location.
Residents who previously voted at Stonewall Jackson School in Bristol now vote at the Fellowship Hall of First Free Will Baptist Church located at the corner of Vance Street and Euclid Avenue.

     Residents who previously voted at Highland View School now vote at City Hall located at 300 Lee Street.  If you live near East State Street, East Mary Street and Lee Street should check the assigned voting precinct on your voter registration card. Your precinct may have changed. Cards printed after July 10, 2013 should reflect your most current voting precinct.

     Town council and mayor races are up for grabs. Bristol, VA is also electing school board members.

      In Virginia, the polls open at 6 a.m. And close at 7 p.m.


     In The Tennessee Primary Elections, voters will be electing sheriffs, county mayors, county commissioners, judges, district attorneys general, constables, chancellors, county clerks, and court clerks.

     In Tennessee, poll hours vary by county. In Carter, Hawkins, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington Counties, you can vote from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. In Greene County, polls open at 9 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

     Winners advance to the August 7th state primary and county General Election.
