Two teens charged with stealing 47 guns, ammunition

CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. - We've learned new facts about an investigation into several stolen guns in Carter County, Tennessee.

Sheriff Chris Mathes tells News 5 WCYB 19-year-old Joshua Wade Ray and a 17-year-old are facing burglary and theft charges.

The owner of Bluespring Gun Shop reported more than 47 guns and ammunition were stolen from the store.

Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes says deputies recovered 46 guns, a large amount of ammunition, and cash. The sheriff said during a morning news conference the arrests solved the gun shop burglary as well as several other open investigations.
